Ajani, the Helping Hand

“Look at you; it’s admirable that you’ve come this far despite everything that’s been thrown against you. This time, you won’t have to go at it alone anymore. Take my hand if you’d like, and let’s make the rest of your journey together.“

I’ve been wanting to paint fanart of Ajani for the longest time since I first started playing Magic when I was 17, and I guess it’s amazing that it’s taken me so long to do it. There’s a lot of art of Ajani posed roaring and generally being an Angy Kitty(c), and I suppose I wanted to portray a more “calm, supportive father figure” energy in this piece.

Painting that white fur also posed a very fun challenge! Generally I ended up treating it the same way I treat clouds - Taking up the colours that the light and shadows give it.
